Anna L. Hetrick
Anna L. Hetrick, 92, died on March 17, 2017, peacefully at home. She was the loving wife of the late Asher A. Hetrick. Born on February 24, 1925, in Hellertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ignatia (Shotnick) Prielozny. She was predeceased by siblings Kathryn, Louise, Stephanie, Mary, Helen, and Stephen, Jr.
Anna worked at the former 5&10 on 3rd St., Bethlehem, and operated a forklift at Bethlehem Steel during WWII. Anna also waitressed at the Edward F. Ackerman Post 397 American Legion, Hellertown, where she was Past President of the Auxillary. She was also a Dewey Fire Company Auxiliary volunteer. Anna was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in Hellertown.
She is survived by sons Asher A. Hetrick, Jr., and his wife, Barbara; Allan A. Hetrick and his wife, Deborah; and Aaron A. Hetrick and his wife, Jacqueline; all from Hellertown. She is also survived by daughters Alice A. and her husband, Gene Reily of Hellertown; and Anita L. and her husband, Ross Zimmerman; of Bethlehem; and grandchildren Glenn, Victoria, Christopher, Chad, Andrea, Aaron, Jr., and Allyse; step-granchildren Keith and Eric; and great-grandchildren Paul, Jordan, Eric, Lia, Ashley, and Asher.
Family and friends are invited on the evening of March 22, from 6-8 pm at Falk Funeral Homes, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. There will be a short viewing from 9:30 – 10:00 on Thursday, March 23, at the funeral home followed by Mass at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 10:30 am followed by burial at Union Cemetery, Hellertown.
