Obituary for Rodman J. Leister

Rodman J. Leister, 85, of Red Hill, and formerly of East Greenville and Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017. He was the husband of the late Georgianna (Summersgill) Leister. Born in New Berlinville, he was a son of the late Ammon and Alice (Youse) Leister. Rodman was a bricklayer for 50 years. He was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church. He was also a member of the Keystone Fire Co, where he held several offices over the years; and also a member of the Bechtelsvlle, East Greenville, and Red Hill Fire Companies.
Surviving are children: Dennis, and his wife Donnette, of Lyons; Thomas, and his wife Cheryl, of Bally; Keith and his wife, Dawn, of Cary NC; Alice, wife of Gary Hager, of Pennsburg, and a step-daughter, Mary Richard, of Hereford; siblings: Charles of Galeton, Barry of New Hope, Kerry, of Gilbertsville; Dallas, of Earlville; Daniel, of Sewickley; Nancy Kulp and Dorothy Nuss, both of Bechtelsville; Vivian Kulp, of Frederick, Pauline Benfield of Delaware, and Betty Sweeney of Boyertown; 9 grandchildren (Kristi, Angela, Kyle, Quinn, Corey, Brett, Ryan, Joshua, and Nicholas); and 4 great-grandchildren (Rebecca, Meredith, Addison, and Avery). He was pre-deceased by brothers, Paul and Carl.
Funeral Services will be at 11AM Monday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A viewing will be from 9-11 AM. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill.
