James M. Crook, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Corinne Rose (Timm) Crook. They celebrated 68 years of marriage last December. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Riegel) Crook. He served his country honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Following his service, he graduated from Northwestern University. Jim worked for GMAC for a short time before being employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he worked for 30 years before retiring as the Assistant to the Vice President of Transportation. After retiring, he was a very active volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital, Westminster Village, and New Bethany Ministries. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, and he was a Free and Accepted Mason. Survivors: His wife; his daughter, Cheryl, wife of Robert Christman of Lower Saucon, and James and his wife Lindsay of Fawn Grove, PA; grandchildren: Kyle Christman and his girlfriend Meghan Litzenberger, Kasey Christman and her partner Allison Benner, and Amber Christman; and great grandchildren: Savannah, Hunter, Ashton, Jaxson, and Brooks. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy. Services: Private.
