Alvera Heffner,92, of Kutztown, passed away September 8, 2017. Born in Chapel, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Emma (Ganter) Kriebel. Alvera graduated from the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1947, and was a nurse at that hospital for several years. She was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.
Surviving are children: Barry Heffner, and his wife, Angie, of Newberry, SC; Gene Heffner, and his wife, Sharon, of Reading; Dolores, wife of Stephen Moyer, of Fleetwood; Frances, wife of Ted Smith, of Zionsville, and Carol, wife of Jeffrey Gieringer, of Kutztown; 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Clara and Warren.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, September 15th at 11 AM at Palm Schwenkfelder Church. A viewing will be from 10 to 11 AM at church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
