Obituary for John Mark Peters

John Mark Peters
John M. Peters, a disciple of Jesus Christ, was received into glory on Sunday morning, November 19th 2017, at the home of his close friends Paul and Eileen Kilbride. He was 59 years old. John was the son of the late John A. Peters and the remaining Nerina (D’Agostine) Peters. He was the beloved brother of Joel M. Peters (Lynne Graves) and the late Eric J. Peters. He was also the loving uncle of Nathaniel J. and Jeremy E. Peters. John was also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

John was born in Abington on September 22, 1958 He grew up in Churchville; went to, and graduated from, Council Rock High in 1976. John also attended Middle Bucks Vocational School for Diesel Mechanics. He moved to Wycombe in 1985. For the last 18 years, he was a resident in Milford Square, PA.

John was the owner & operator of John M. Peters Earth Moving, Inc. Prior to owning his own business, he worked for Shanahan & Luff Backhoe Rentals, in Newtown, PA., from 1978-1981. John had a God-given gift for operating equipment from a young age. He used this gift for over 30 years in the service of others. His orientation to service was also manifested in his deep involvement in many missionary endeavors. These took him to various locations throughout the world; most notably his times spent in Nepal. He co-labored with an organization named P.U.M.A. (Pennsylvania United Medical Association.), which ministers primarily to the Nepali people, and of which he was also a board member.

John’s home church was Calvary Chapel of Quakertown, where he volunteered as a Sunday school teacher. He was also known to study, pray and fellowship with many of the local Calvary Chapel churches. He often spent time with various other denominations, wherein many of his friends were members. John had a great passion for lost souls and an earnest desire to introduce others to his Savior, who rescued him, and whom he served faithfully.
