Condolence: Memories of my Aunt Gladys ...

Most of the memories that I recall today were actually formed many years ago when I was a youngster.

For example, at family gatherings she would always express interest in things that were important to me such as my school work or my baseball activities.

And whenever her family was stationed at a military base overseas, she would always send interesting gifts for my entire family to enjoy. And what a thrill my sister and I had when we were able to adopt our cousin's pet dog as they all left home to go abroad.

So now as I think of those early years, I believe I knew then already that my aunt was a caring, kind, polite, thoughtful and refined lady.

That's how I think of her.
