C. Marvin Zeisloft Jr., 84, of Macungie, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family He was the husband of the late Shirley J. (Hale) Zeisloft with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage prior to her death in 1999. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Clyde Marvin Zeisloft Sr and Elma (Kindred) Zeisloft. He was a graduate of Hazelton High School, class of 1951. He served in the Navy Reserves. “Marvie” was employed by GM, Wilmington, DE; Air Products, Emmaus PA and the former Western Electric, more recently know as Lucent Technologies, Allentown, PA for 38 years, retiring in 1998. His favorite past times included attending baseball games & athletic & equestrian events of his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was an avid gardener (he had a “green thumb” for strawberries, vegetables, and roses),and enjoyed fishing, talking about current events, and was a “Ford Mustang Buff”. He also read his Bible and was a man of faith. He taught Sunday School in the past years. He was known for his infectious smile and kind personality. Our “DAD” and “GRAMPZ” will be lovingly remembered and missed.
Surviving are children: Sandra, wife of David Chrysczanavicz, of East Greenville; C. Marvin Zeisloft III, and his companion, Gloria Marsh of Bath; Wayne Zeisloft, of Mertztown; and Sharon, wife of Gary O’Donnell, of Emmaus; siblings: Marian Mucher, of Coplay; and Charles Zeisloft, of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren: Amy, Michelle, Kristie, Bradley, Cory, Kimberly, Michael, and Nicole; and great-grandchildren: Brenna, Elias, Kayla, Kevra, Kyle, Riley, Hannah, Emma, Alison, Bella, Lexi, Miya, Cole, Dylan, Shelby, Carter, & Connor; and his precious dog, Daisy.
Services will be at St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, 35 N. Fifth Street, Emmaus on Thursday, June 7th, with a viewing from 9:30-11AM and service at 11AM. Internment will be at Solomon’s Church Cemetery, Macungie.
