Vivian Fitzsimons of Lower Saucon and Moravian Village passed away on June 7, 2018. She was born in 1921 in Allentown to William and Annie Moyer and was married to Robert Fitzsimons in 1944. During the late 40’s and 50’s, she and Robert owned and operated the “Hiawatha Swimming Pool” in Lower Saucon Township. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1939 and Kutztown State Teacher’s College in 1943. Vivian taught art in the public schools of Fountain Hill, PA; Bound Brook, NJ; and Hellertown, PA, including several one-room school houses. She retired in 1976 to participate in the Sugar Loaf Professional Art and Craft Shows in the Washington, DC, area. She was a member of the Bethlehem Palette Club.
Survivors: Son, Dr. Thomas Fitzsimons, and wife, Rosemary, of Allentown and daughter, Kathleen Beale, wife of David Beale of Cortland, NY; and granddaughter, Kate Fitzsimons, and grandson, Joshuah Finn, and great-grandsons, Thomas and William Finn. She was predeceased by brother, Laurence Moyer, and sister, Violet Scholl.
