Obituary for Marian H. Hafner
Marian Hafner, 94, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Claude Hafner who passed away in 2010. Born in Frackville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Catherine (Sachar) Harhigh. She was a graduate of the former Springfield High School, now in the Palisades School District. After graduation, she studied Voice at Combs Conservatory, now Combs College of Music in Philadelphia. She worked in the Billing Department of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp in Bethlehem.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Kim Hafner of Bethlehem, and her son, C. J. and his wife Jody of Carlisle; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Jamie, also of Carlisle; and her siblings, Martha Harhigh of Quakertown, Emmanuel Harhigh of Coopersburg, and Irene Kalman of Ardmore, PA; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may made in her memory to the Wildlands Conservancy, 3701 Orchid Pl, Emmaus, PA 18049, wildlandspa.org. Visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
