Obituary for Nancy Jane Reiter (Landis)
Nancy "Jane" (Landis) Reiter, 80, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully at home, on January 27, 2017. She was the widow of Elmer G. Reiter who died in 2015. Born in Sellersville and raised in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude “Marie” Landis. She was a nursery school teacher and for the last ten years she was a passionate volunteer in the Maternity Ward of the Doylestown Hospital. Jane was a member of Lenape Valley Church where she was a former Deacon. She was also a former member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons: Robert Pistorius of Doylestown, John Pistorius and his wife Wendy of Souderton, and Joseph Pistorius and his wife JoAnn of Sellersville; her stepchildren: Kirsten and Timothy Reiter; her grandchildren: Jessica, Brian,, Kelly, Katherine, Thomas, Julia, and Rachael; seven great grandchildren; and her sister: Susan, wife of Francis Bergey of Telford. She was predeceased by a daughter Susan and a sister Joan Eisele.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 2, at Pennsburg United Church of Christ, 775 Main St., Pennsburg, PA. All are invited to visit with her family from 10 AM until the service begins. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Village Improvement Association, 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
