Marlene M. Erech, 86, of Green Lane, and formerly of Florida, passed away January 29, 2018. She was the widow of Saul Erech. Born in Green Lane on November 22, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Caroline (Zepp) Sieber. She married LeRoy Gerhart, raising 5 children together for 19 years. She was a real estate broker, formerly owning her own offices in Woxall and Delaware Water Gap. For many years, she was a very active member in the Republican Party. In the middle 1990’s, Marlene moved to Florida with her second husband, Saul where they resided until his passing in 2016. She then returned to Pennsylvania to spend her remaining years.
Surviving are children: Roy Gerhart (Blanca), of Reading, and his wife, Andrea Gerhart, of Bechtelsville; Marlana Wentzell, of Mills, PA; Benita, wife of Jerry Beck, of Red Hill, and Russell Gerhart, and his wife, Leslie, of Media, PA; step-sons: Daniel and David Erech, both of Texas; siblings: Caroline Guldin, of Green Lane; and Nicholas Sieber, of Fairmount City, PA; grandchildren: Angela, Keith, Nathan, Blaed, Meghan, Jason, Randy, Sonya, Dana, and Tracey; and several great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son Gerald Gerhart, a grandson, Tom Beck, and a son-in-law, Barry Wentzell.
Services will be at 11 AM on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. All are invited to a viewing from 10 AM. She will be interred in Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, FL.
