Edward E. Moneghan, 90, of Red Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Meyers) Moneghan. Born in Fremont, OH, he was a son of the late Virgil and Kathryn (Slygh) Moneghan. He served his country honorably as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps. Later he became the International Sales Manager for Stokes Vacuum in Philadelphia where he worked until retiring in 1999 at the age of 71 after over 30 years with the company. Upon moving to the Upper Perkiomen Valley, he became a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Seniors Club. He and his wife wintered in Bonita Springs, FL, where they were also members of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and made his second hole in one at age 80.
Along with his wife of 69 years, he is survived by a son John “Jack”, and his wife Dawn of Warrington; and daughters: Mary Beth, wife of Michael McMurray of Sellersville, Jane, wife of Brian Cassidy of Quakertown, Margaret “Peggy”, wife of Stephen Cassidy of Ivyland, and Karen Edwards and her partner Ron Drosdak of Allentown; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and sisters: Carol Green and Sally Moffett, both of Tiffin, OH. He was pre-deceased by a sister Nora Moneghan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, May 21, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073. All are invited to gather and greet the family from 9:30 AM until the mass begins. Interment will be held privately.
