When Perkiomen went coed in 1969, Elaine was one of the staff members who went out of her way to make the five of us feel at home and part of the school. When I returned as a teacher eight years later, she did the same thing. She was a wonderful person who always cared about her students and advocated for them. She holds a special place in my heart.
