The Best
I was honored to work at Perkiomen School with Elaine. When I began working as a nurse Perkiomen School in 1991, Elaine was the resident nurse. I was very frustrated because Elaine knew how to do it all...evaluate illness and injuries, talk and listen to the students all while giving her never ending energy to the entire campus. But then I learned from her, Elaine had patience, knowledge and the ability to teach me confidence and the self assurance I needed to do the job. We laughed at all the funny occurrences, yelled about all the frustrating events and learned so much about each other. Elaine ran a tight ship, I remember once my then 11 year old son connected all the paper clips in the desk together, Elaine found them! Lesson learned..never let anyone other than myself sit at that desk and leave things as I found them :0) Tiny Elaine was a powerful woman who loved her career and life itself! She cherished her days off(there we few of those!) to go to flea markets, lunch with friends or visit her mother in the nursing home. Vacations were to Florida to see her son Ken and family, she loved when Florida was on the horizon. I will never ever forget Elaine, she taught me more than how to work at a boarding school, she taught me how even though we all may be different, we are all the same. After Elaine retired from Perkiomen, I worked with many other nurses, but there was only one Elaine Holley RN, I learned from the best. Rest In Peace Elaine.
